Solar Electric Conversion Project

Electrical installation of 260 KW off-grid solar system for the Golden Gate Parks Service.  Included installation and interconnection of DC Photovoltaic modules, Island Generator systems, and DC battery bank.

•    Special considerations were made to comply with historical aesthetics demanding creative solutions for the conduit installation.

•    A high profile project which required our workmen to interact in one of the Nation’s busiest parks, offering unique and diligent safety considerations while working in close proximity to the  public and protected wildlife

Installation of 340 KW solar system for the Army Corps of Engineers.  Installed over 3,600 modules at the District Office of Army Corps of Engineers.

•    Solar modules installed on custom racking system to accommodate uniquely shaped barrel roll roof system.

•    Coordinated a comprehensive data logging system with offsite access.

•    Installed all interconnect wiring, electrical distribution, and coordinated with local utilities to connect to the grid.

Motco Naval Weapons Base

Installation of lightening protection for Weapons Transfer Facility. Installed complete catenary wire grounding grid, including underground  x-ray for unexploded ordinances prior to excavation; excavation and pouring of pole bases in soil at or below water level.

•    Project included post tensioning of cables to exact specifications.

•    Ground terminations both above and below were certified and tested.

•    High Tech Electric holds a UL listing license as a Lightning Protection installer.
